EUGENE LENTZ, 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Eugene’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, September 5, 2019, 11:00 AM.

On December 24, 1950, Eugene was born to Everett Sr. and Oleta (Jo) Lentz in Colorado Springs, CO. Upon graduating from high school, he attended the El Paso Community College and received his associate degree. Eugene enlisted in the United States Navy. During his military service, he was awarded a Bronze Star and a National Defense Medal. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Lentz. Prior to retirement, Eugene worked as a laborer. He was a member of the Cowboy Church in Dexter, NM. Eugene loved playing chess, golfing, and motorcycles. He enjoyed the outdoors, and liked camping, fishing, and hunting. Eugene liked watching wrestling and his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

SURVIVORS: Those left to treasure and cherish memories of Eugene are: his loving wife, Sharon Lentz; stepchildren: Ray Lager, Lori Lager Mondragon, Betty Lou Hunt, Colleen Kraft; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Lewis Lentz and wife Karyn.

PRECEDED: Preceding Eugene in death were his parents, Everett Sr. and Oleta (Jo) Lentz; brother, Everett Jr. Lentz; sister, Loretta Eddy; and Louise Lentz.
