CLARA “JEAN” DAVIS OWEN, 90, passed away peacefully after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Sunday, May 12, 2019. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Jean’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On November 14, 1928, Jean was born to Robert and Beulah Fry Davis in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1946, she graduated from Roswell High School. Jean met and married her partner for life, Clarence “Ray” Owen on January 8, 1948. Together, they had three children: Tommy, Donna, and Susan.

In early 1960 to mid-1970’s, they were the proud owners of Frontier Motel on North Main, here in Roswell, until their son purchased the motel allowing Jean & Ray to retire.

Jean now joins her sweetheart, Ray, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1994. Jean was loved and will be missed, not only by her family and friends, but by all blessed to have known her.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Jean are her three children: Tommy (Patty Tays) Owen of Buda, TX, Donna Parker of Spicewood, TX, Susan (George) Lassiter of Alamogordo, NM; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
