Bobby Schoenfeld of Louisiana and Ziba pass the review of judge Beverly Capstick Saturday morning during the first of a two-show event organized by the Rio Pecos Kennel Club and held at the Roswell International Air Center Park on Earl Cummings Loop. Ziba is shown on her way to the “best in show” ribbon for the Rottweiler category. The 56th annual event for the club, with two separate shows Saturday and Sunday, has attracted 381 entries, 103 breeds and an estimated 200 people from 22 U.S. states and territories. Elaine Mayfield and Mary Wright are co-chairs of the event that is popular as an outdoor venue at the start of the fall show season. Today’s judging starts at 8 a.m. and will conclude by early afternoon. (Lisa Dunlap Photo)
