Samuel went to be with our Savior after spending 68 years with family and friends.

Sammy was born to Samuel and Eufricia Montoya of Picacho, New Mexico in Hollywood (Ruidoso Downs) New Mexico.

Sammy moved to the east coast at the age of 18 years. He was employed by J.D. Cahill Company and Foss Manufacturing.

Sammy married Betty Hedman and out of this union came a son and daughter, Samuel (Little Sammy) III and Juanita.

He is survived by his wife Betty of 58 years, son Samuel and partner Charlene of Seabrook, New Hampshire; daughter Juanita Seymore and her husband Pete of Somersworth; his brother Melvin Montoya and wife Diana of Roswell, New Mexico; and brother-in-law Modesto Chaves of Tinnie, New Mexico: five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents Sam and Eufricia Montoya; brothers George, David, Joe and sister Ursala Chaves.

Sammy was a family man that loved his family, enjoyed NASCAR, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
