Choosing a bowl isn’t easy

The pre-event opening on Friday for the Soup ‘n Bowl fundraiser drew a large crowd that had first choice in picking out a unique bowl, or two or three, which were created by local artists and volunteers as well as former Roswell Artist-in-Residence members. The event at the Hi-Q continued on Saturday morning, and benefited Bone Springs Art Space, 212 E. Walnut St., and the Miniatures and Curious Collections Museum, 320 N. Richardson Ave. Additionally, a side room was opened up on both days to display silent auction items, which included oil paintings from the Richard Knadle estate and various artists’ sketches, ceramics and other items, including a game from local game inventor Matt Bromley. BSAS still has various large bowls and the Miniatures and Curious Collections Museum has miniature bowls available for those who missed the event. For more information, call Bone Springs Art Space at 575-208-0916 or visit either organization’s Facebook page. (Christina Stock Photo)
