Butch was born in Roswell to his parents, George and Barbara Ann, on June 5, 1962, and graduated from Roswell High School in 1980. He was voted “Most Handsome” in high school and enjoyed telling stories about his years of playing sports, swimming, and being involved in anything and everything he could. Butch was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, dashing looks, sense of humor, the beautiful sound of his voice, and for his love for the family farm. Butch loved farms and farm work. He was a talented welder with an unusually wide range of vocations and abilities with big ideas and dreams. Butch deeply loved Jesus. He was an exceptionally loving, supportive, and affectionate father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Butch fought a long battle with depression and mental illness that led to serious health issues which ultimately took his life at an early age.
