WILLIAM EDWIN VENNUM, 75, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019, at his home. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with William’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On June 15, 1944, William was born to Ralph Elbert and Evelyn Lou Vennum in Roswell, NM. He graduated from Roswell High School. William married Dolly Vennum on August 10, 1964, in Roswell, NM. He enlisted in the United States Airforce, in Homestead AFB, Fla, on 8 Jun 1968, and he was honorably discharged 7 Jun 1970. During William’s military service, he served in Vietnam and was awarded many decorations, medals, and badges, which include: VSM: W/3Bss, AFM 900-3. NDSM: AFM 900-3., RVCM: AFM 900-3., AFGN: SOC-; 98, Hq 7thAF 4Feb67. AFGGM: (8Jun64-7Jun67) AFM900-3. His specialty titles were Airman Basic and PNEU, REPMN. Prior to retirement, William worked as a mechanic. A Christian who loved God, William was a member of Mission Arch Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion. His favorite pastimes were going camping and playing golf. William’s most memorable moments were cooking and spending time with his family. He loved them more than anything. William’s spirit, smile, and presence will be dearly missed, not only by his family and friends but by all those blessed enough to have known him.

SURVIVORS: William is survived by his wife, Dolly Foster Vennum; children: William H. Vennum (Billy), James R. Vennum, Patrick N. Vennum, J. Joe Vennum; grandchildren: Jennifer Gabaldon, Ashley Vennum, Steven S. Vennum; great-grandchildren: Lucas and Aydan Gabaldon, Caleb, Brianna Tish; sister, Carol L. Smith; nieces and nephews: Pam Fuchs, Michelle Corley, Tom Loar; close friends: Brigham Knight, Curt Johnson; and his two precious pets: Toobaby and Koko.

PRECEDED: William is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Elbert and Evelyn Lou Vennum.

SERVICES: Graveside Services for William will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 1:00 PM, at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery.
