Toys and books are such an important part of a child’s development, so when Parkview Elementary School asked the Roswell Chamber of Commerce and the Roswell Chamber of Commerce Redcoats to hold a ribbon-cutting and help them kick off their PreK Book and Toy Lending Library, we jumped at the opportunity. Ms. Karla Stinehart, director of Elementary and Preschool Programs, said, “We at RISD desire to partner with our families in authentic ways that are meaningful for the longterm success of our students. Our PreK Book and Toy Lending Library provides ways for parents to engage with their children, which ultimately benefits the learning of our students. Parents are a child’s first teacher, so we continually look for ways to support families as they undertake the incredible responsibility of raising their children.” Pictured are, from left: Hervey Gilliland, Kim Ly-Vasquez, Susie Roe, SaraLei Fajardo, Esmeralda Jaramillo, Monica Kelly, Karla Stinehart, Jennifer Cole, Sally Green, Cindy Vaughn, Kelsey Kelly, Michelle Cardona, Crystal Lindholme, Deeta Beasley, Lupe Vanuelas, Sybil Rottman, Ed David, Evelynn Pruitt, Gary Thrine and Daniel Pruitt, Roswell Chamber membership coordinator.
