The Roswell Sertoma Club honored its Students of the Month for October at a recent meeting.

Kiana Sweeney from Goddard High and Armando Soto from Roswell High, both seniors at their respective schools, were in attendance. Sweeney, who is interested in chemistry, is thinking of attending New Mexico State University and plans to become a pharmacist. Soto, whose interests tend toward mathematics and science, is considering going to Texas Tech and eventually wants to start his own business. The club presented each with a certificate and a gift card.

All senior high school students should be aware that the Roswell Sertoma Club awards 27 $500 college scholarships each semester based on academic achievement. Those interested can obtain an application on the club’s website, roswellsertoma.org.
