Another social media post that caused concern, this one regarding Sierra Middle School, has been deemed “not credible” by the Roswell Police Department, according to information released by the Roswell Independent School District on Friday.

A post on the Roswell Schools Facebook page stated that a middle school student had posted a “threatening message on social media.”

Todd Wildermuth, RPD public information officer, said the RPD responded to the concern and had a presence at the middle school on Friday morning.

Both Wildermuth and RISD’s post stated that through an investigation, the threat was found to be not credible and the situation had been resolved as of Friday afternoon.

Roswell High School was put on a soft lockdown, during which parents could pick up students, on Tuesday morning, after a shooting threat was posted by a student on Snapchat. Wildermuth said the FBI is investigating that incident.
