Carolyn Gallagher passed away peacefully on November 18, 2019 at Heartfelt Manor, Roswell NM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Pat” Gallagher who passed away October 2, 2004. They were married for 54 years.
Mrs. Gallagher was born August 25, 1926 in Canisteo, NY to Marion and Lena Parsons. She lived in several states during her life, including New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida before retiring to Roswell with her husband in 1977.
She was of both a practical and a creative mind, being an accomplished seamstress, painter, potter and cook, and was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Gallagher is survived by five children and their families: Michael Gallagher of Delmar, NY; Dianne Gallagher of Rochester, NY; Karen Welsh and her husband Bill of Shortsville, NY and their children Nicholas and Natalie; Thomas Gallagher and his wife Esperanza of Indio, CA; and Billy Gallagher and his wife Ellie and their children Daniel and Katie of Roswell, NM.
Mrs. Gallagher is also survived by a sister, Joanne Young and her husband Ted of Covington, PA, and a brother, Charlie Parsons and his wife Shirlie of Bath, NY.
The family expresses its sincere thanks for the gentle, loving care and support provided by Ginny, Jo, Troy, Rosa, Mary, Neal, Yvette at Heartfelt Manor; Jimmie, Maureen and the Encompass Health team; and Mary Beth and the rest of the wonderful people at Peachtree Village.
Cremation is under the care of Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory, and Mrs. Gallagher’s ashes will be interred with her husband at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
