Pavement upgrades will take place on a small section of East College Boulevard at the intersection with North Garden Avenue beginning Monday, Dec. 2.

The project will require the closure of East College from the west side of the North Garden intersection for a short distance to the west, according to a press release issued by the city of Roswell.

Detours will involve the use of North Garden Avenue, East 19th Street and Grand Avenue to reroute traffic around the work area. The East College/North Garden intersection will remain open in all other directions other than on its west side.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 13.

The upgrades will install concrete pavement along the eastbound lane of East College approaching North Garden to strengthen it against continued pavement failure resulting from truck traffic. Once the existing pavement is removed, reconstruction of a water main will also take place before the new pavement is installed.
