Two men sought as ‘persons of interest’ in homicide investigation

Two suspects are being sought as persons of interest in a Nov. 26 homicide in Roswell. 

Investigators are looking to talk to Samuel Rey Duran, 25, and Jeffery Daniel Chacon, 29, who police believe have information related to the shooting death of Carlos Coronado, 21, according to a press release issued Thursday afternoon by the Roswell Police Department.

Police were dispatched to an apartment at the corner of North Washington Avenue and West 13th Street Nov. 26 at about 10 p.m. When police arrived, Coronado was found in the apartment and had been shot multiple times. He was later transported to a hospital, where he died from his wounds.

Duran is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 150 pounds with black and brown hair and brown eyes, according to the release. He also has tattoos on both arms and hands, and on his neck, head and chest.

Chacon is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and tattoos on one of his arms and his neck, the release states.
