A memorial dedicated to a local homeless man known for mowing lawns to earn money is again visible in Roswell. The lawnmower memorial dedicated to Carlos Ramirez was installed near Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church at 505 N. Pennsylvania Ave. A similar memorial to Ramirez — know around town as “Lawnmower Man” — had earlier been stolen, according to an Associated Press report. Ramirez, who often sat outside the church, had been known in the area for almost half a century. He died last month in Lubbock, Texas. Not long after, a memorial — a white lawnmower — was set up, but it was stolen in short order. The new memorial includes a note asking that the memorial be left alone. (Alison Penn Photo)
