Police respond to theft of inflatable animals

The following public records are from the Roswell Police Department and can be viewed at rpdp2c.org. All people arrested or cited are presumed innocent. 

Police responded Dec. 7 at 1:19 p.m. to a West Second Street address in reference to a larceny call. An inflatable dinosaur, an inflatable pig, an inflatable fox and another inflatable with a combined value of $240 were reported stolen.

Arrests/citations

Daniel Beltran-Chavez was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs Dec. 7 at 7:10 a.m. in the 500 block of East Albuquerque Street.

Brian Wilson was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs Dec. 8 at 1:49 a.m. in the 100 block of North Washington Avenue.

Andrew Nathaniel Lopez-Cobos was charged with battery upon a police officer Dec. 12 at 2:48 a.m. in the 300 block of East Church Street.

Arson/criminal damage

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Bandolina Avenue in reference to an unknown trouble. A tire valued at $157 on a 2009 Lincoln was reported damaged. A pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a lighter were also reported stolen.

Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of East Alameda Street Dec. 7 at 4:35 p.m. in reference to a criminal damage report. The paint and three tires on a 2019 Toyota sustained a combined total of $800 in damages.

An officer was dispatched Dec. 10 at 8:05 p.m. to the 1100 block of East Mescalero Road in reference to a criminal damage report. Windows valued at $1,500 were reported damaged.

Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Union Avenue Dec. 11 at 4:09 p.m. in reference to a criminal damage report. A glass door valued at $350 was reported broken.

Larceny/theft

An officer responded to a report of burglary forced entry in the 300 block of North Union Avenue Dec. 8 at 11:36 a.m. An Xbox One, a PlayStation 4, two Xbox controllers, two PlayStation 4 controllers, a TV, a Keurig coffee maker, a large jacket and a BB gun with a combined value of $1,060 were reported stolen.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Pear Street Dec. 7 at 8:17 a.m. in reference to a larceny. An iPhone 6 and a Straight Talk SIM card with a combined value of $99.99 were reported stolen.

Police were dispatched to the 900 block of North Beech Avenue Dec. 6 at 1:20 p.m. in reference to a residential alarm. A basket of miscellaneous items and a Samsung TV with a combined value of $500 were reported stolen. A window valued at $300 was reported damaged.

An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of North Main Street Dec. 6 at 6:18 p.m. Versace men’s spray and Versace Yellow Diamond spray, with a combined value of $164.98 were reported stolen.

An officer responded to a burglary of a vehicle in the 3000 block of North Main Street Dec. 7 at 11:43 a.m. An HP laptop, cash, two briefcases and a handgun with a combined value of $2,350 were reported stolen.

Police responded to a report of criminal damage Dec. 7 at 8:18 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Alameda Street. Two tires, a trunk and bumper on a 2018 Honda sustained damage valued at $720.

An officer responded to a report of the unlawful taking of a vehicle in the 600 block of East Sixth Street Dec. 8 at 4:19 a.m. A 2005 Chevy Trailblazer was reported stolen.

Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of West McGaffey Street Dec. 7 at 9:15 a.m. in reference to a vehicle burglary. A backpack, Lenovo laptop, cash, seven credit cards, a wallet, a driver’s license and a passport with a combined value of $830 were reported stolen from a 2018 Dodge van.

An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Yale Drive Dec. 8 at 9:33 p.m. in reference to a parental assist call. Cash in the amount of $200 was reported stolen.
