On Dec. 3, Carrie-Leigh Cloutier, director of Chaves County CASA, attended the weekly meeting of the Pecos Valley Quilters to receive 60-plus original quilts made for CASA kids’ Christmas presents. The quilts are part of the charity outreach of the quilting guild known as “Quilters for the Heart.” The guild meets every Wednesday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Roswell Adult Center with a different focus each week. They’ve been meeting there for more than 20 years. There are approximately 85 members, men and women. Guests are always welcome to stop in. (Submitted Photo)
