Roswell High School’s Charlie’s Angels dance team brought gifts like toiletries, blankets and more to Chaves County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) on Tuesday afternoon. Amanda Lueras (not pictured), director of CASA’s Children’s Advocacy Center, and other CASA staff spoke to the Angels about the reality facing many teens who are in foster care, and how foster parents can pick up items for free from the CASA store for those in their care. Lueras said CASA takes donations year-round, including used clothing for ages 0-18. Angels’ Coach Kim Castro said her team has been giving to CASA for years and it is an “important” tradition.
