Los Pasitos Early Intervention recently conducted its second annual purse drive, and delivered the purses collected to the Roswell Refuge domestic violence shelter. Most of the purses are gently used. “During this Holiday season, we feel this ‘purse drive’ is one way we can give back to the community and let these women and children of the Refuge know how much they are loved,” Nicole Dean, Los Pasitos marketing and outreach coordinator, said in an email. Pictured during delivery of the purses are, back row from left, Peggy McCarty (with the Refuge), Dean, Gem Gonzales, Jasmin Melendez, Valerie Arlet, Stella Ross (with the Refuge) and Felicia Juarez; and front row from left, Vicky Sanchez and Sophie Garza.
