The demolition of the old dormitories at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell is in progress. The 1950s-era buildings near West Martin Street and Earl Cummings Loop have been vacant for several years. The school leases adjacent property to other companies that have built and manage new dormitories, called Sierra Vista Village. The demolition was estimated in the spring to cost about $400,000.
