RPD searches for ‘vehicle of interest’ in robbery

Roswell Police are searching for a vehicle of interest as part of an investigation into a Dec. 26 home-invasion robbery.

Images of the white pickup truck were released Thursday by police. The pickup was recorded on surveillance video leaving an area at about the time the crime occurred, according to a press release from the Roswell Police Department.

The crime happened at 7 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 2700 block of Chrysler Drive, the press release states. Two individuals dressed in all black and with their faces covered entered an 86-year-old woman’s home through an open door and demanded money.

One of the perpetrators is reported to have held a knife pointed at the floor throughout the incident. After the victim gave the intruders some money, the suspects left, according to the release.

An incident report filed with RPD stated a total of $23 was stolen from the victim.
