Locals graduate from state leadership program

Leadership New Mexico has announced that two Rowell area residents are among 35 young professionals from across the state who recently graduated from the 13th Leadership New Mexico’s Connect New Mexico “The Next Generation of Leadership” program.

Graduating with the class were Eric Ehler, vice president of operations, Pioneer Bank; and Juanita Jennings, public affairs director, city of Roswell.

Open to leaders ages 25-40, the program is designed to offer young professionals the opportunity to develop personal leadership skills, learn how New Mexico systems and structures work and explore critical issues facing the state.

According to a press release from the organization, participants represent various geographic regions and communities, from the public, private, government and nonprofit sectors.

Connect New Mexico “The Next Generation of Leadership” encourages participants to cultivate new ideas and introduces participants to recognized leaders who provide insight into a wide range of issues and topics.

More than 1,700 participants from 87 communities across the state have participated in Leadership New Mexico programs.
