The city of Roswell Streets Department will work on shoulder drop-off repairs on South Main Street beginning Tuesday.

The project will move from one section to another between Brasher Road and Hobson Road, and is expected to take about three weeks to complete.

The work will begin in the southbound direction. The outside traffic lane will be closed as crews perform the repairs. Work will continue south to Hobson Road and then will proceed in the northbound direction back to Brasher Road.

The repair work is to grade, place cold millings and perform compaction to level the outside shoulders where there are drop-offs. This is another operation in the city’s efforts to enhance South Main Street heading into and out of the airport and university areas.

Motorists are asked to slow down as they go through the work zones.
