ROBERTO C. CHAVEZ, 76, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Roberto’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing for Roberto at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

On July 7, 1943, Roberto was born to Jose and Anita Chavez in El Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was the beloved husband of Anita Chavez, with whom he shared fifty-nine years of marriage. Roberto enjoyed listening to music and drinking a cold one while working on his cars. His favorite pastime was anything that had to do with restoring cars. Roberto will be missed by his family and friends.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Roberto are his loving wife, Anita Chavez; children: Dora (George), Maria (Francisco), Lupe (Chungthuy), Jerardo, Lorenzo, Gavi; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; too many nieces and nephews to mention; as well as all the stray dogs he could pick up.

PRECEDED: Roberto is preceded in death by his children: Roberto Jr., Tereza, and Sonia Estes; grandchildren: Rebecca and Adalyn Delgado; parents, Jose and Anita Chavez; grandparents: Cristina and Agustine Chavez; daughter-in-law, Rebecca; son-in-law, Robert Vigil Jr., along with siblings: Ramona, Josefina, Guillermo, and Gonzalo.
