The Roswell Woman’s Club has awarded $500 scholarships to six students at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell this spring semester.
The recipients are Julia Azih, occupational safety and engineering technology; Angelina Bugarin, occupational safety and engineering technology; Juan Campos-Garcia, welding; Kaileigh Holloway, nursing; Laura Price, nursing; and Karine Salas, nursing.
Established in 1895, the Roswell Woman’s Club is one of the oldest civic clubs in Roswell and has a long history of support for ENMU-R. The club awards scholarships in both the spring and fall semesters to selected students who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed at least 12 credit hours.
The object of the club is to promote higher educational, social, moral and civic conditions in the community.
