Last week, there was extensive coverage of a man leading Chaves County deputies on a chase after almost running into some of those officers. At some point, a gun was tossed from the car’s window. According to the Record, the whole time he was fleeing from deputies, he was on the phone with the sheriff.
The sheriff who was instrumental in causing both Chaves County and the City of Roswell to become Second Amendment sanctuaries. Which clearly is, or should be, against the law.
Was this so he could help his friends out? An investigation should be done. I am looking forward to the next sheriff’s election.
