There will be lane closures along a section of South Main Street as pavement work takes place beginning Monday, Feb. 24.

The project — application of an overlay designed to create better friction and extend the life of the pavement — will take place from Jaffa Street to Martin Street and is expected to take about three weeks to complete.

Traffic will continue to flow through the area, but motorists are asked to slow down in the work zone and observe traffic-control signs. Lane closures will vary as the project progresses.
