Albuquerque Biopark’s Aquarium, 2601 Central Ave. NW, overnight is open for all ages. Doors open at 6 p.m., the program starts at 7 p.m.
There will be marine activities, adventures and games. Participants will “sleep with the fishes.”

Mardi Gras in the Clouds
Cloudcroft celebrates its annual Mardi Gras in the Clouds downtown with a Cajun cooking contest and live music at 6 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, starting at 10 a.m., a variety of entertainment is planned including the Mardi Gras parade at 2 p.m.
On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., entertainment for the entire family is planned.

‘The Diary of Anne Frank’
The New Antiquities Theatre Company presents “The Diary of Anne Frank.”
The play is based on the writings of Anne Frank, written by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman.
The play about the young girl who was hiding from the Nazis with her family in the Netherlands is directed by Nathan R. Miles and Lucinda Laro, in association with Lovington High School Theatre Department.
Performances will be at the Pannel Auditorium on the Lovington High School Campus, 701 West Ave. K, on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2 p.m.

The Crafty Kitch Lit book discussion takes place at the Artesia Public Library, 205 W. Quay Ave., from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the library meeting room.
This book group is free and open for the public — for those who love food and are over 18. Every book has a food theme.
This month we’re reading “The Greenfather” by John Marshall. Books are provided by the library.

The Artesia Arts Council is hosting its third annual gala at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center, 310 W. Main St., from 6 to 9 p.m. The theme this year is the 1920s.
The night’s events will consist of a silent auction, dancing and games.
It’s encouraged to come dressed in your best 1920s flapper dress or other Gatsby-inspired costume, but not mandatory.
Look out for Big Mike and his gang who will be watching the backdoor for cops and expecting the password.

Bataan Memorial Death March
Registration is now open for the 31st annual Bataan Memorial Death March, on March 15, U.S. Army Garrison White Sands Missile Range, 100 Headquarters Ave., White Sands.
The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging 26.2-mile march through the high desert terrain.
There is also an option to do the 14.2-mile honorary march. This Memorial March is held in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health, and, in many cases, their lives.
This event is more than just a marathon. The entire weekend, Thursday through Sunday, participants get to meet survivors and attend historical seminars.

The entry period for the 2020 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards is now open. Entries must be received by April 30 to be considered.
Books published since Jan. 1, 2018 are eligible, if they have not won in any category previously.
