The Altrusa Community Service Committee met on Feb. 25 and presented a check for $600 to Tabitha Denny, camp director for Royal Family KIDS. This donation will help pay for a child to attend the camp.

Denny talked to the Altrusa members about the Royal Family KIDS camp that is held for children between the ages of 6-12 who are in the foster care system. The mission of Royal Family KIDS is to create positive, life-changing moments for innocent children who have been victims of neglect, abuse and abandonment. Denny told the group that it is truly inspiring and beneficial for the children who have the opportunity to attend a camp.

One of the most rewarding things about the program is when a child who attended camp years ago returns as an adult to help out with the campers!

Altrusa is proud to provide an opportunity for children to attend the Royal Family KIDS camp.
