On Saturday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m., Bitter Lake National Refuge will host a free presentation about the James Webb Space Telescope, followed by a Star Party.

The presentation by Margaret (Peggy) Bohlin will take place at the Bitter Lake Visitor Center in the auditorium. Bohlin volunteers for the Solar System Ambassador Program through NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. This presentation will be her first official presentation as a volunteer for the SSA.

There is limited seating in the auditorium.

After the presentation, the Roswell Astronomy Club will host a Star Party. There will be a few telescopes present with knowledgeable club members available to answer questions and show different celestial bodies, weather permitting.

The Solar System Ambassadors Program of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory offers information about real missions that explore the solar system and beyond. Volunteer ambassadors in communities throughout the country are selected by JPL based on their backgrounds and plans for public outreach activities.
