MINNIE GAROFALO, 94, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Minnie’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On April 12, 1925, Minnie Garofalo was born in Roswell, N.M., to Pedro Reyes and Lydia Villescas Reyes; both have preceded her in death. She loved to travel with her best friend, Jessie Roberts, and they toured to many places within the United States.

Minnie enjoyed watching western movies and reading history books about Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Many early mornings, you could catch her working in the yard and looking after her flowers and plants. Minnie worked over twenty years at Levi Strauss, and then became a working companion for many of the elderly people in Roswell, New Mexico. All her family and friends will truly miss her.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish Minnie’s memory are her daughter, Nancy and son-in-law Tom Sanchez of Roswell, New Mexico; granddaughter, Autumn Sanchez of Las Vegas, Nevada; and nieces: Anita Gray of The Woodlands, Texas, Emelda Lara, and Irene Garcia of Roswell, New Mexico.

PRECEDED: Minnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne Glenn; granddaughter, Heather Sanchez; sisters: Elizabeth Lara and Mary Cooper; brothers: Lorenzo and Lionzo Reyes.

PALLBEARERS: Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Will Gray, Emalda Lara, Rita Payne, and Veronica Campos.

Special thank you to all the Encompass Health personnel for their kindness and excellent care they gave to Minnie.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at South Park Cemetery.
