Jerry Wayne Gilcrease, 69, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Jerry was called home with loved ones surrounding him. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with the Gilcrease family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: A Graveside Service will be held at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery, on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 10:00 AM.

Jerry was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on February 4, 1951, to William Odell and Helen Gilcrease. Upon graduating from high school, he attended college. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army in Oakland, California, in 1970, and was honorably discharged in 1976. During Jerry’s military service, he received a National Defense Service Medal and completed the training as a Military Policeman.

In 1969, Jerry married Bonnie Gilcrease in Roswell, New Mexico. Prior to retirement, he worked as a foreman at Leprino Foods. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

SURVIVORS: Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Gilcrease; son, Jerry F. Gilcrease and wife Melissa; three grandchildren: Megan, Skipper, and Yancey Kendal, and Cameron Huebner; daughter, Donna Rodriguez and husband Joshua; brother, Calvin Gilcrease and wife Mary; nephews: Ernie Gilcrease and wife Lisa, Philip Gilcrease and wife Kim, Mike Smith and wife Mary; nieces: Evelyn Wyndra and husband Marty, Ann Garlinger and husband Eric, Rhonda Martinez and husband Joaquin, Tammy Farmer and husband Greg; and many great-nieces and nephews.

PRECEDED: Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William Odell and Helen Gilcrease; brothers: Benny Gilcrease and William Clyde Gilcrease.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Roswell Cancer Society.
