DVS field office moves to a ‘telework’ operation

The field office of the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services is moving its Roswell office, among others in the state — by appointment only — to a “telework” operation via telephone or computer. For more information, call 575-624-6086 or visit nmdvs.org.

Hagerman Public Library closure

Due to COVID-19, the Hagerman Public Library will close temporarily starting today, Thursday, March 19, until further notice.

Galacticon meeting canceled

The Galacticon volunteer meeting that was planned for March 20 has been canceled.

Roswell Kiwanis Club meetings canceled

The Roswell Kiwanis Club has canceled all meetings through the end of April.

Altrusa meetings canceled in March

Altrusa International of Roswell, NM, Inc. canceled its meetings for March. For more information, contact Jennifer Rawdon at 575-624-8035.

City of Roswell cancellations

Roswell Neighborhood Watch meetings are canceled until further notice. The Drug Take Back event that was scheduled at the Roswell Police Department for April 25 has been canceled. It is unknown right now if it will be rescheduled.

Municipal Court is directing defendants assigned to community service to temporarily suspend reporting to their assignments as a protective health measure. Any defendant under community-service conditions through the court will be given alternative reporting requirements by his or her assigned compliance officer.

The Legal Committee meeting scheduled for March 26 at the City Hall Conference Room has been canceled. Until further notice, due to COVID-19, the Roswell Public Library Board meetings and the Roswell Museum and Art Center Board of Trustee meetings have been canceled.

Roswell Junior Galaxy Club meeting

The Roswell Junior Galaxy Club will be canceling this month’s meeting, scheduled for Sunday, March 22, at the Roswell Museum and Art Center.
