The Salvation Army Roswell will close its Thrift Store at 207 E. Chisum St. until further notice beginning March 21, according to a press release issued by the organization Friday.

“This was not an easy decision, but it was the only decision we could make, given the COVID-19 crisis,” said Captain Jonathan Woollin, Salvation Army Corps Officer.

Donations will still be accepted at the store, following safety and social distancing recommendations, according to the press release. “We also wish to assure everyone that the Salvation Army continues to provide social services to our local neighbors in need. If you have a need, please do not hesitate to call on us,” said Woollin. “We are praying for everyone’s health and safety.”

The Salvation Army Roswell Corps Community Center is located at 612 W. College Blvd. and can be reached at 575-622-8700, or Roswell.SalvationArmy.org.
