Local law enforcement officers are investigating Saturday incidents resulting in serious damage to two Roswell jewelry stores, and they believe they may have identified some people involved.
Roswell Police Department officers were called about 5 a.m. to the Zales store in the 4500 block of North Main Street, finding that someone intentionally had rammed a vehicle into the side of the building.
According to RPD spokesman Todd Wildermuth, the incident caused extensive damage, but no entry was gained into the building.
Police then were called to J & L Jewelers in the 800 block of North Main Street to find that a similar incident had occurred.
A Chaves County Sheriff’s Department social media post indicates that a black pickup could have been involved. Wildermuth said that the ongoing investigation has identified three possible suspects.
