SERVICES: A Graveside Service for Ruby will be held at South Park Cemetery on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, 10:00 AM.
On January 13, 1927, Ruby was born to Morris John Allen and Ruby Ola Reddoch Allen Hampton in Eastland, Texas. She graduated from Hondo High School. Ruby was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who loved spending time with her loved ones. She was an incredibly family-oriented homemaker who loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. Ruby’s most favorite hobbies were reading and doing artwork. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
SURVIVORS: Those left with beautiful memories of Ruby are her children: Linda Hewitt (Thomas) of Wilmington, NC, Cecil James Green (Cathy), William David Green (Rina), Robert Lee Green all of Roswell, NM; grandchildren: Traci Richardson (Harold) of Virginia, Cheri Shedeck (Scott) of Virginia, Patrick Green of Utah, Sara Davidson (Clint) of Washington, Sariah Bair (Ryan) of Washington, Tiffany Green of Arizona, Lea Bogard (Cody) of Texas, Dallin Green (Theara) of Nevada; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Orion Allen (Bertha) of New Mexico, Vera Roberson (Donald of Nevada; as well as many nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED: Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, M. L. Sonny Southerland; parents, Morris John Allen and Ruby Ola Reddoch Allen Hampton; grandparents: John Abraham Allen (Anna Belle Warner) and Chancy C. Reddoch (Emma Jo Mullens); and siblings: Mary Frances Lambright, Morris John Allen, Walter Richard Allen, Mollie Jo Widner.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Roswell Joy Center and Kindred Hospice for their kindness and excellent care they gave to Ruby.
