The high profile case of a man wanted on federal and state warrants after he allegedly killed his girlfriend at their Roswell home in January, before fleeing with their young son, will be featured on a cable television program.

In Pursuit with John Walsh will air a segment tonight at 8 p.m. MT on Investigation Discovery about missing three-year-old Osiel Rico and the boy’s murder-suspect father Jorge Ernesto Rico-Ruvira, 32, according to a press release from Investigation Discovery.

The series is composed of segments about wanted criminal suspects and missing children.

Rico-Ruvira is a suspect in the death of Isela Mauricio-Sanchez, 27, his girlfriend and the mother of Osiel Rico. The body of Mauricio-Sanchez was found Jan. 7 in a 600 block of East Forest Street residence, where she lived with Rico-Ruvira.

Investigators believe that after strangling to death Mauricio-Sanchez, Rico-Ruvira fled the state with Rico.

Federal officials in January said they believe Rico-Ruvira, a Mexican national who was in the U.S. illegally at the time of the homicide, might have fled across the southern border with Rico.

In January, the FBI offered a $10,000 reward for information that could lead to the arrest, apprehension or extradition of Rico-Ruvira. Chaves County CrimeStoppers also put up another $1,000 in reward money in early March.,

Osiel Rico is believed to possibly still be in the company of Rico-Ruvira. Osiel Rico is 2 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 40 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Rico-Ruvira is described as Hispanic and 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He also has black hair, brown eyes and is possibly driving a 2003 GMC Yukon SUV with New Mexico turquoise centennial plate number MNF231.
