The New Mexico Military Institute Board of Regents has scheduled an online meeting for Friday.

The special meeting has been set for 1 p.m. The link is https://us04web.zoom.us/j/78158201468.

According to an agenda released Tuesday, the board is due to consider waiving some graduation requirements for the spring 2020 term, given school and instructional changes as a result of the COVID-19 crisis.

The meeting also is scheduled to discuss the possibility of expanding the use of the Knowles Legislative Scholarship beyond tuition and fees. The scholarships allow state legislators to nominate New Mexico residents for NMMI scholarships for up to four years, but state statute allows NMMI to establish the criteria for scholarship awards.
