City administration offices and other city facilities will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Trash pickup will have an adjusted schedule for that week, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the city.
While many city buildings are currently closed to in-person public access, city staff has remained available to serve the public by phone, email and online. However, on Monday, most city employees will be off for the Memorial Day holiday.
The Solid Waste Department’s residential trash pickup for the week of May 25 has been adjusted. Areas south of Alameda Street plus areas east of Garden Avenue between Alameda and Second Street (normally picked up on Monday and Thursday) will have their trash containers picked up Tuesday and Thursday.
Other areas north of Alameda (normally picked up on Tuesday and Friday) will have their trash containers picked up Wednesday and Friday. The landfill will be closed Monday.
