In its daily report Friday, the New Mexico Department of Health announced 133 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as well as nine additional deaths within the state.
No new deaths or positive test results were reported in Chaves County, which has had 44 positive tests and two deaths since March.
According to the Friday press release from the Department of Health, the state’s death toll from the pandemic is 344. The state has had 7,493 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In all, 193 individuals as of Friday were hospitalized in New Mexico with COVID-19, while a total of 2,728 cases of the virus have been designated as having recovered.
People who experience symptoms of the virus are encouraged to immediately contact either their health care provider or the state’s COVID-19 hotline at 1-855-600-3453.
