Letter: Reader disagrees with recent headline

Copyright © 2021 Roswell Daily Record

I was disappointed to read this headline on the front page of the RDR on 6/3/2020, “No Arrests at Monday Black Lives Matter protest.” It is inflammatory, inaccurate and presumes incivility at the event, yet not one word in the article nor any action by any of the protestors would have warranted an arrest.

Why can it not read, “Peaceful and Civil Protests take place in Roswell,” and set a positive tone for the article instead of a negative one? Roswellians are civil people, we will not foul our own nest as others have shamelessly done in their communities.
