A loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, GUADALUPE E. CONTRERAS, 62, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, in Roswell, New Mexico. Please take a moment and share a fond memory or thought with Lupe’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Graveside Service for Lupe on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM at South Park Cemetery.

On May 9, 1958, Lupe was born to Pete N. and Mary R. Contreras in Brownfield, TX. He was the beloved husband of Delores Contreras, who he married on January 28, 1983, in Roswell, NM. Lupe was a hard-dedicated worker and worked for TMC and Nova Bus for nineteen years. He was an excellent mechanic and was good at everything he knew. Lupe loved playing softball and being with his grandkids and friends, but most of all, teaching his kids the values of life.

Lupe had a heart of gold, and he touched so many people’s lives. He was the best “Tata,” and we will cherish his memories forever. Lupe will be missed dearly, but we will keep him close to our hearts. It’s never a goodbye Tata, but we will see you later.

SURVIVORS: Lupe is survived by his wife, Delores Contreras; children: Natalie and husband Joseph Barnhill, Guadalupe and wife Vera Contreras, Lucia Contreras and partner Desiree Jaramillo, Audrianna Contreras and partner Gabriel Hernandez, and Krisalyn Gomez; grandchildren: Edward, Christopher and Joseph Garcia, Guadalupe III, Lucas, Michael, Marley, Bonnie, and Krimson Contreras, Gabrianna and Aireanna Gonzales, and Jeremiah Hernandez; mother-in-law, Lucia Angeles; siblings: Cathy Contreras, Jenny Contreras, and Maryann Torres; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and friends he loved dearly.
