New Mexico state health officials on Sunday announced 192 additional COVID-19 cases, including four new cases in Chaves County.
The number of positive test results for the virus in New Mexico since March now stands at 11,809. Chaves County has reported 83 cases.
The state Department of Health also announced one additional coronavirus-related death on Sunday, a man in his 50s from Doña Ana County who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
The total number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 492, of which two were from Chaves County.
The counties reporting the highest numbers of new positive test results Sunday were Bernalillo County, 45; McKinley County, 28; Doña Ana County, 27; and San Juan County, 34.
