It is with great sadness that the Acosta family announces the passing of JESUS ACOSTA, 86, on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Jesus’ family at www.andersonbethany.com.

SERVICES: There will be a Viewing at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2020, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Rosary starting at 7:30 PM, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Dexter, NM. A Funeral Service for Jesus will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hagerman Cemetery.

On November 8, 1933, Jesus was born to Tomas Aguilar Acosta and Elisa Orona Gomez Acosta in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Jesus enjoyed working on the ranch, gardening, pecan farming, and his classic vehicles. His most treasured moments were spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was their #1 fan. Jesus loved his sweets, coffee, diet cherry 7-up, and menudo. His spirit, smile, and presence will be greatly missed.

SURVIVORS: Those left to cherish memories of Jesus forever are his son, Ray Acosta (Dolores) of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughters: Mary Lou Acosta and Yolanda Acosta of Dexter, New Mexico; grandchildren: Desiree Orosco (Emmanuel) of Dexter, New Mexico, Julie Acosta (Gabriel) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Lorenzo Orosco, IV (Shantell) of Roswell New Mexico, Carlos Acosta of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jessica Orosco of Phoenix, Arizona, and Michael Orosco of Phoenix, Arizona; and great-grandchildren: Noah Regalado, Abryelle Orosco, Jayceeon Aguilar; as well as his precious cats.

PRECEDED: Jesus is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia R. Acosta; parents, Tomas Aguilar Acosta and Elisa Orona Gomez Acosta; siblings: Emma Saenz Acosta, Carlos Acosta, Agripina Heredia Acosta, Luisa Herrera Acosta, Santiago Acosta, and Tomas Acosta.
