A local vendor’s recently stolen food trailer was found Thursday, though stripped of most of its inner contents.

The Papa’s Kitchen Done Chicago Style trailer, which included a commercial kitchen, was found Thursday morning in an area at Crossroads and Houma Road south of Roswell, according to Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the Roswell Police Department.

Anthony Keenan, owner of the enclosed trailer, said a metal box, food, a refrigerator, a grill, a freezer and some tables were among the items stolen from inside of it.

“It’s still heartbreaking because I still have to put the thing back together to try to make money and it is still going to cost me a lot of money to do it,” he said.

The enclosed trailer was stolen July 16 from the parking lot of the apartment building where Keenan lives in the 300 block of West Mescalero Road, sometime between 1 and 7 p.m.

Keenan added that he spent about $19,000 to repurpose the trailer when he bought it just over a year ago and had about $3,000 in property inside of it.

He has since established a GoFund Me account to raise money to cover the cost of replacing some of what was stolen. As of Tuesday, 16 people contributed a total of $1,010 to the effort.
