Letter: What is the real China Syndrome?

China is known as the People’s Republic of China (PRC), but in reality, it is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the true ideology of the Chinese rulers.

If you have not taken the time to listen to Attorney General Barr’s speech at the Ford Library about the true intent of the CCP, you must. Then you need to also listen to Secretary Pompeo’s speech at the Nixon Library the next day. Both were posted on YouTube the week of 7/20/2020. I am shocked that very few people are even discussing the content of those speeches. I am sure China is.

Back in 1990, businessman Donald Trump warned the U.S. that China was taking advantage of the U.S. economic markets on the Oprah Winfrey Show. That was when Oprah liked Trump. She even asked him if he was running for president. His response then was the same as it is now — never take anything off the table. Now as president, Trump is taking China to task for ripping off the American people for all those decades.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if China controlled the entire nuclear energy industry? They plan to build 40 reactors in the next 5 years to our 2 reactors. Yes, when we complete the Vogtle reactors, that will be it for the U.S. over the next 5 years. China’s colonial ambitions are to sell nuclear energy through state-controlled turn-key nuclear power plants to countries that do not have the GDP to build their own.

From my perspective, whoever controls the energy market controls the world economy and everything that goes with that. Use your imagination and it should scare you if that is a communist or socialist ideology in control.

Today, the U.S. is still a world energy leader with hydrocarbon (fossil) fuels and petrochemical materials. However, the future economies of world markets will be driven by nuclear energy and oil and gas should step up and invest in that green future too.

Attorney General Barr and Secretary Pompeo failed to mention control of nuclear energy in their speeches, so I am here to inform you. Do not disrespect nuclear energy if you value your freedom. China doesn’t.
