A loving mother and grandmother, JUDY NAN EVANS, 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Honoring Judy’s wishes, no services will be held. Please take a moment to share a kind thought or memory with Judy’s family at www.andersonbethany.com.

On November 2, 1951, Judy was born to John M. and Lois Bowanko. It saddens us to say we have lost a devoted mother, music lover, artist, teacher, and, most importantly, a friend. As a music major from the University of Indiana, she enjoyed all music in life, playing clarinet, piano, and autoharp. As a knitter and stain glass artist, Judy enjoyed creating and crafting. She thrived as a teacher at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, sharing her love of art with her students. More recently, she found a family at the Roswell Elks Lodge. She was indeed a friend to the community and a loved mother who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be missed.

SURVIVORS: Judy is survived by her children: Aaron (Emily) Evans, Jesse (Ashley) Evans, and Cody (Alicia) Evans; grandchildren: Marley, Mackenzie, Noah, Madyson, and Gillian; brother, Theodore “Ted” (Debbie) Bowanko; nephews: Nicholas and Patrick; as well as her close friend, Sonya.

PRECEDED: Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Lois Bowanko.

The family wishes to give a special “Thanks” to all that loved her and were friends with her.
