An open-topic forum for the wards covering much of west and south Roswell is coming up this week in the third of the city’s virtual public forums.

The forum is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday and will be live-streamed.

The forum will focus on Wards 3, 4 and 5, but the forum is open to questions and input from all residents, according to a press release from the city.

Ward 3 is represented by Councilors Judy Stubbs and Jeanine Best; Ward 4 is represented by George Peterson and Savino Sanchez Jr.; and Ward 5 is represented by Angela G. Moore and Barry Foster.

City Manager Joe Neeb will not be available on the day of the forum, but will record a presentation answering questions submitted through an online survey. Questions can be submitted at survey monkey.com/r/AugustForum2020.

Deputy City Manager Mike Mathews will be live during the forum to take other questions, according to Todd Wildermuth, public information officer for the city.

To watch the livestream, residents can go to the city’s YouTube channel or the livestream page on the city website, www.roswell-nm.gov/1091/Llive-Stream.

That page includes a link to a GoToMeeting session for the forum, where residents can ask questions during the forum through the chat box.

Audio of the live forum can also be accessed by calling 872-240-3311 and using access code 138-486-781.

Videos of the previous two forums can be found on the city manager’s page of the city website.

The forums are conducted online at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month through October. September’s meeting will focus on the Roswell Air Center and Economic Development. October will be an open forum for Wards 1 and 2.

Videos of previous forums — June’s “All Civic: How It All Works Together” and July’s on citizen advisory boards, commissions and committees — can be found on the city manager’s page of the city website on YouTube.
