A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Helen P. Bryans of Roswell, NM, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.

There will be a Viewing for Ms. Bryans on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home, 2609 S. Main, Roswell, NM. A Viewing will also take place on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, 906 Gregg Street, Big Spring, TX. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at 10:00 AM, at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, TX, with Pastor Kevin Knudson officiating.

Helen was born on Sept. 2, 1925, and raised in Danville, Il, by her adoptive parents, George and Lena Partlow, who loved her dearly. On Mar. 14, 1942, in Illinois, she married her soul mate and partner for life, Edward B Bryans of Garden City, Texas, while he was serving in the Army Air Corps. They moved to Roswell, NM, in 1985 from Long Beach, California. She was a long-time member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. Helen was a retired nurse who was dedicated to caring for everyone’s well-being. These gifts of compassion are more than learned behaviors. They were characteristics of her nature; her heart and life were dedicated to being the best wife and mother for her family.

After retirement, Helen and her beloved husband, Edward, traveled for many years in their motor home. They loved taking road trips together and sightseeing. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family, who she genuinely adored. Helen loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing games. Her fun and joyful spirit made everyone feel comfortable with her engaging conversations. Helen was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.
