On Saturday, Aug. 22 WESST held its 5th annual Go! Latinas event in Roswell. Participants met virtually due to the continued restrictions on large gatherings, with women from all over the state of New Mexico.

The WESST Roswell office is a host to the Women’s Business Center (WBC), a resource partner of the Small Business Administration (SBA), and serves seven counties: Chaves, Eddy, Lincoln, DeBaca, Curry, Lea and Roosevelt.

This year’s speakers were Jennifer Moreno, Roswell; and Kim Ortega and Susana Arvizu, from Hobbs.

“These three ladies shared their inspirational stories with us,” WESST Regional Manager Rhonda B. Johnson stated in a press release. “All three faced multiple challenges in their personal and business lives, yet the common theme was when things got tough, these ladies did not quit!”

The organization wished to thank Suzie Fresquez of Accent Flowers for brightening up the panel table, and Hope Morones, program coordinator, who worked at putting the event together; also all the participants who joined in on Zoom.
