Chaves County saw another four cases of COVID-19 in Monday’s daily update from the New Mexico Department of Health, after recording eight cases in Sunday’s update.

The county’s total number of cases to date is 625, according to a press release from the Department.

Monday’s report noted that the number has been adjusted, as a previously reported case here was identified as an out-of-state resident.

Statewide, 76 new cases were reported Monday and 98 on Sunday. Total cases since March, as of Monday, were 24,469.

That number reflects corrections for six cases identified as duplicates in Bernalillo, San Juan and Doña Ana counties.
